Kyowon Wells launches “Home Care Membership” program that enables customers curate their own list of home care products and home care schedule

Kyowon Group's health and home appliance brand, Wells, is set to launch the first bespoke home care service program in the health and home appliance rental industry. Dubbed the “Home Care Membership,” this highly customized program is expected to allow customers to choose not only which specific product they want serviced, but also the exact time and date they want their products taken care of.
The Home Care Membership program eliminates the need to call in a technician every time an appliance requires maintenance, or wait several days to fix a problem. Customers can simply select the product that requires service, and the time they want the technician to visit. For instance, if customers want to make sure their air conditioner is in good working order before summer, they can have a technician visit their home at their time and date of choice, even during the late-spring or early-summer season when everyone wants to have their air conditioning units checked.
Customers have total freedom to choose and change which product they want included in their Home Care Membership.
Four different types of products are currently covered by the Home Care Membership program - washing machines, dryers, air conditioners, and mattresses. Additional package discounts are available when customers include three or more products in their membership. Compared to one-off service calls, customers can save up to 17% in service fees. However, the Home Care Membership program is available only for products owned outright by the customer (not available for rental products).
Once a customer subscribes to the Home Care Membership program, Wells dispatches a technician periodically in line with the maintenance cycle of each product for three years. Of course, the customer has the right to choose the exact service schedule. For mattresses, customers can choose between a three-month cycle or four-month cycle. For home appliances, customers are entitled to a one-off on-delivery inspection, and an additional total care service session (disassembly and cleaning of the device) every 12 months. In particular, Wells makes sure each device is completely defect-free with its on-delivery inspection, then offers its total care service whenever the customer wants. During the on-delivery inspection, the Wells technician notifies each customer how to use and maintain their appliances on a daily basis.
Another stand-out feature of Wells’ Home Care Service Program is its “Wells Home Masters.” These technicians are trained to use dedicated product maintenance tools and always put the customer first to ensure a reliable and perfectly satisfying customer experience. Wells Home Masters are full-time employees trained extensively at Wells’ headquarters. As such, each Home Master has the requisite professional knowledge and know-how to take proper care of different appliances. With specialized equipment and standardized manuals, Wells Home Masters deliver a consistent quality of service not only across Seoul and the metropolitan area, but also the entire country.
In regards to the launch of its Home Care Membership program, one Kyowon Wells stated, “This Home Care Membership is a whole new type of service, the first of its kind and the only one available across the entire rental industry, which allows customers to select and configure the service they want according to their specific needs. Although we are starting out with four types of products, we plan on expanding our coverage moving forward to include other products that are high in demand for the Home Care Membership program.”
The Home Care Membership program is a three-year arrangement, and membership fees vary from KRW 5,800 to KRW 16,500 per month depending on how many products are included in the membership.
