Along with it, the company will also plan and execute a social contribution program among children at local children's centers in collaboration with the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.
'I Love Farm Health Campaign' is designed to encourage children to have curiosity about vegetables and develop balanced eating habits, including healthy an delicious vegetables through experience of a variety of programs using eco-friendly vegetables grown at ‘Wells Farm', a plant grower developed by Kyowon Wells.
Kyowon Wells will open up the 'I Love Farm Health Campaign' zone in Kidzania located in Jamsil, Seoul, and encourage children of all ages to engage in the campaign event for free of charge. The experience program is available to participate every hour during the period between 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Children who participate in the event will first have time to check and identify their everyday eating habits to find out if they intake various nutrients in a balanced manner. The campaign tells a story about the efficacies and nutrients of vegetables in a way to facilitate an easy understanding for children so that they are able to enjoy the educational campaign. Participating children will also harvest and observe vegetables directly from the plant grower 'Wells Farm' and take time to familiarize with them and experience in cooking creative dishes using vegetables.
In addition, Kyowon Wells plans to carry out social contribution activities for children at local children’s centers together with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. As part of the 'Good Personality Campaign' that has been led by Kyowon Group, Kyowon Wells is joining the campaign this year to promote healthy and balanced eating habits. Along with children at local children's centers, Kyowon Wells will explore the five senses, engage in cooking classes using vegetables from Wells Farm, and take time to enjoy a vegetable-themed hand puppet show as well as songs and rhythms about healthy vegetarian habits. In addition, 'Wells Farm' will be installed within the local children's center along with free-of-charge supply of vegetable seedlings to help children enjoy healthy vegetables in a sustainable manner.
A Kyowon Wells official said, "As dietary habits are not likely to change once set in early childhood, we have prepared this campaign to promote developing healthy eating habits early in life. The primary goal of the campaign is to inform children of the importance of vegetables in an enjoyable manner through experience-based programs that include cooking using vegetables and, hopefully, children who dislike vegetables will be able to reduce their resistance against vegetables and to enjoy delicious vegetable-based dishes".
